How were we born?

Some journeys don't begin at an airport.

They begin the moment you realise that everything you've built, everything you've earned, everything you've ticked off, none of it has given you the one thing you actually wanted.

Pause. Wonder. The feeling of wind on your face from a train window, with nowhere urgent to be.

Made in Transit was born from a shared restlessness between a storyteller from Patna and a filmmaker from Calcutta. Two people who kept asking the same question: what happened to the journeys that changed us? Not the itineraries. The journeys.

So we started building them.

A week living with a Buddhist monk in the tea gardens of Darjeeling.

Four thousand kilometres on the longest train route in India, stopping where the map gets interesting.

An evening of Adda in a city that still knows how to sit and talk without agenda. A journey through Bengal tracing the cinema of Satyajit Ray, into the villages and light that made him.

These are not itineraries. They are immersions. Into culture, into slowness, into the parts of India that organised tourism has never thought to show you.

Different entry points. The same destination: back to yourself.
